How do I create a profile?

Whether you’re looking for work or talent, creating a profile is easy. If you are a Job Seeker you can sign up HERE. If you are an Employer you can sign your business up HERE.

Once you have set up an account, visit your profile dashboard and follow the prompts. Try to fill in as many details as possible, including all your contact details and a professional photo. You can come back at any time to edit your profile.

How can I stay private?

If you are an employer, your business name will remain anonymous and only revealed to job seekers after they have accepted your contact request.

If you are a job seeker, personal details such as your last name, phone number and email address will only be revealed to an employer after you accept a contact request.

How will employers discover me?

We have ditched the old-school model of job searching. In our innovative approach, employers come to you!

For employers to discover and contact you for a prospective job offer, all you have to do is SIGN UP and create a profile by filling out all your information as detailed as possible. This is a crucial step, as your information such as your preferred job, location and experience level is what employers use to search.

You may also be matched on key words so make sure you take the time to fill out your professional summary, previous employment, availability and skills. This is what employers will see, so aim to make yourself appealing and employable.

The best way to get discovered is to have an outstanding profile. If an employer likes what they see, they will contact you with a job brief. You can find these in the jobs section on your profile, and also you will be notified via email.

How do I search for job seeker candidates?

The I Want 2 Work model has ditched the old-school ways of recruitment. In our innovative approach, we put you back in control to search for the right employee!

Once you sign up your business and create a profile by filling in all your business details, you can start your search.

Forget spending hours writing job ads. On I Want 2 Work you simply create a job brief which only takes minutes! After this you can start to search our diverse network of potential candidates that are talented, motivated and ready to work.

Search the IW2W database using our unique data-backed search functions such as preferred job industry, job role, location and experience level to give you refined results. Once you find a few potential candidates, you can contact and send them your job brief by using contact credits. You can purchase contact credits under the ‘buy credits’ tab on your business dashboard.

How do I create a video resume?

If you have an IWant2StandOut Professional subscription, you can create a Video Resume that showcases your personality and commitment to the job. Simply upload your video resume to YouTube or Vimeo and upload the embed link of your video to your IW2W profile

We recommend that you begin by introducing yourself and letting potential employers know why you’re right for the job. Feel free to be creative and demonstrate some of your portfolio if you’re in the creative world. This is your opportunity to stand out from the crowd and demonstrate your unique qualities. At this time, IW2W does not let you upload videos that are saved on your computer.

How long does it take to find a job?

Employers come to you on I Want 2 Work. Therefore, it is tricky for us to determine how long it may take for you to find a job. Potentially it may take a few days to land a job or it may take longer. It depends on a wide range of variables such as the current employers searching, the job location, your flexibility and your job preferences.

Our advice is to be patient and more importantly, keep your profile up-to-date. I Want 2 Work has new employers with new job positions searching the website each day! The more detailed and current your profile is, the more likely you will find a job opportunity that is right for you!

How long does it take to find an employee?

We put employers back in control of who to hire on I Want 2 Work. You select your ideal candidates on our database that you wish to contact and make the right decision for your business. Therefore, it is up to you how long it may take for you to find an employee.

We have made the recruitment process simple, easy and fast. Instead of spending hours writing a job ad, you can spend a few minutes filling out a job brief on I Want 2 Work. Next by using our data-backed search functions, your brief will be matched to relevant job seekers. Forget the resume spam, our sleek IW2W Business Cards display a snapshot of a job seekers information. Making it faster to go through and find what you are looking for. Potentially you could find an employee in a few days!

Your Account

How do I create an account?

It’s free and easy to create an account on IW2W. If you are looking for work, just head to our SIGN UP page and enter an email address and a unique password for your account. If you are an Employer, looking for staff, then start over HERE. Remember to use the same login method each time you visit IW2W. Once you have created an account, you’ll need to create a profile.

How do I redeem a voucher?

If you have been given an IW2W Voucher, you can redeem it for a specific level of membership, when you sign-up. A voucher will contain a 16 digit code that will give the user an IWant2StepUp Premium, IWant2GetSerious Premium Plus or IWant2StandOut Professional membership, depending on its value. That code is a single-use code, that is, it is valid to be used once by a single individual. If you have a voucher and you want to sign-up, you can do so HERE.

Why do I need to verify my account?

Verification allow us to confirm your identity and make sure the information you provide us is correct. It also helps us contact you quickly when an job seeker or employer wants to get in touch. We protect your information under our PRIVACY Policy, using SSL security technology that is used by banks and other ecommerce websites. Our verification process helps us remain a trusted Australian marketplace that connects job seekers and employers, fast.

How do I cancel my account?

If you are a Job Seeker and you would like to permanently cancel your account, go to Account Settings > Your Current Package > Cancel Account. Selecting this option will delete all the information you have saved in your IW2W profile, as well as your billing and subscription details. Any jobs you have received or sent will also be deleted.

You can cancel your account at any time, but will not receive a refund for any unused credits in your account (employers) or remaining days left in your billing period (job seekers). Cancelling your account erases your data from our system completely. If you wish to return to IW2W after cancelling your account, you will need to initiate a new account and re-enter all of your details.

If you are an Employer and wish to cancel your account, you will need to CONTACT us.

How much does it cost?

Job Seekers:

I Want 2 WORK charges various rates for some of its activities. However, as a Job Seeker, the IWant2GetStarted Basic membership is free. You can sign up by heading HERE. There are upgrades to your membership that you can purchase.

Job Seekers can upgrade their membership which will give them additional benefits on this site. A full explanation of charges and features can be found HERE.


It’s free for Employers to join the site, but we charge one credit for you to make contact with a potential job candidate. Currently the cost to contact a candidate is $9.95. We sell credits in packs and each credit is worth one contact. In the case of a candidate declining your contact or not responding within 48 hours, we offer a refund of your credit as part of our money-back guarantee*. So you only pay for willing candidates!

We don’t charge placements fees, success fees, etc. As an Employer, your cost is $9.95 to make a successful contact with a Job Seeker.

I made a payment but nothing happened

If you have completed a payment on IW2W using PayPal and have not returned correctly to the website, do not worry, we will sort things out. We monitor each transaction on our system and are notified by PayPal whenever a payment transaction takes place.

If for some reason, you are not returned to our system correctly after completing a payment, CONTACT us with time and date that you made the payment and we will investigate. If the transaction at PayPal was completed, we will manually adjust your service if required so that you get full benefit of your purchase.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can subscribe or buy credits using PayPal. You can use your credit card details to complete the transaction, even if you’re not a PayPal member.

How do I pay an employee or get paid?

We help you discover your ideal candidate or career, but once we’ve made the connection it’s up to you to sort out the details and get to work. You’ll need to liaise directly with your job seeker or employer to finalise the workplace agreement and make sure you understand your legal rights and obligations. The good news is that if we can’t find you the candidate that you are searching for right now you will not be out of pocket. You will only pay for our services if you make a successful contact with a candidate. I Want 2 Work offers a money-back guarantee* to all employers registered to the website.

*Money-back guarantee offers a refund on contact credits if your contact request is declined or expired. The contact credit will return into your IWant2Work account as store credit.
